Tuesday, October 22, 1929 Cloud this morning with heavy rain this afternoon and evening. Took the car in town this morning and left the store at 11-15 and drove to Mariden to make my official visit to the Mariden Rotary Club. They met in the Cabin Grille. We had a nice lunch and a good meeting. Came back to the store and was there till six, when I came home for dinner. Then went over to Mr. Jones' house for a meeting of the Spring Glen committee charged with the work of starting a religeous organization out here. We accomplished quite a lot to night.
