Saturday, October 26, 1929 A beautiful day. Started for town with Sarah. Found we had a flat tire so made a dash for the trolly car and missed that. Then Dr. John Rice came along with his auto and took us both into town. Later, George Hyde came out and "fixed the flat". Bill Root and Mrs. Root with a Mrs. White called at the store on their way to the game and purchased some Wall Paper. Mr. Duren of the W.H.S. Lloyd of New York also called. T.P.H. and I had luncheon with Don and Marion Adams, Jim and Ruth Gunn. Al and Lena Calvin were also there. We all went to the game in our car and of course came back. We all had dinner together at the Faculty Club. Later, we went out to the Adams' and then they all came out here for a visit. Yale won 21 Army 13, Allie Booth for Yale making all 21 points.
