Rainy, foggy day. Went into the office. Took care of my mail, both business and Rotary, then left early with Harley for Springfield store. Arrived there about eleven o'clock. I took his car and drove on to Palmer, where I made my official visit to the Palmer Rotary Club. We had lunch and our meeting at the "Better Inn" and a good meeting it was. Drove back to Springfield and spent some time at the store there. Then drove over the mountain to Easthampton and called on Roy Manchester and then went on to Northampton and met Harley at J. Hugh Pierce store. Mr. Pierce, Miss Ferris, and we had dinner together at Hotel Northampton and talked over plans for the new year. Harley and I then drove home. The roads were as slippery as though they were covered with ice.
