Sunday, September 1, 1929 Beautiful day, clear and warm. Drove in to town to Calvary Church. Called for Lota Curtiss and took her with me. Mr. Camp, our minister, preached for the first time since his vacation. Dinner at home then I drove out to Westville, picked up Bill Root of Pittsfield, Mass., and we both went down to the store for a conference. He is secretary of our Rotary Fall Conclave Committee, which is to be held at Swampscott, Mass. September 27-28-29.
