Tuesday, September 3, 1929 As hot as it was yesterday, 94° and a record. Today beat that record by one degree, registering 95° at five o'clock today. It sure has been a scorcher. Attended Rotary Club luncheon at Hotel Taft. Not such a large attendance. I guess some of the fellows thought today was Monday on account of the Holiday yesterday. George Hanbury here today helping us with the new line of Wallpaper. We had a radiogram from Bert and Jess on board the steamer on their way here then on to China. They expect to land Sunday. We may go down and meet them at New York as we are expecting Sarah to land either Sunday or Monday on another liner. I worked at the store till ten o'clock on Wall paper orders.
