Saturday, September 7, 1929 Foggy and very humid this morning. Then it came off very hot. We closed the store at one o'clock. I had lunch down town then met a committee of the New Haven Grays at the Grove Street Cemetery and placed flags on the graves of deceased veterans in preparation for our Decoration Service tomorrow. Went back to the store and worked till five o'clock. Came home and T.P.H. and I went over to the Spring Glen Club to the annual sheep bake.
