A beautiful day. Went into the store early and started away about 10-13. Called for Marion Adams at 104 Linden Street then drove out home, packed our baggage in to the Packard, and, with T.P.H., Sally, Pete, and Marion Adams, started for Swampscott for the Fall Conclave of the 30th District. We went by the way of Middletown, Williamantic, Putnam, Worcester, Lynn to Swampscott, Mass. It was warm and beautiful. So warm that we stopped by the roadside for our luncheon and ate it picnic style. We arrived at the New Ocean House, Swampscott in time for dinner and all enjoyed it to the full. We visited with other Rotarians who had come down early. We have a nice suite. Sitting room and two bedrooms with two bathrooms. Marion Adams and Sally have one, Tess and I have the other.
