Franklin took Lois to the New Haven Hospital today. She was ill all day and tonight her baby boy was born but it did not live. They are all terribly disappointed. Lois, it appears, will come through all right. T.P.H. and I went over to Beecher, Bennett, and Lincoln to the funeral of Mrs. Carleton, mother of our friend Mrs. Frank G. Smith.
Tonight we went down to the arena to see and hear Tom Noonan of the Rescue Mission in New York
