Friday, April 18, 1930 Rained hard all day long. This is Good Friday also our thirty first wedding anniversary. We kept the store open till twelve o'clock. I went over to Calvary Church to our Three Hour Service. Tessie went to St. Paul's and Sally to Trinity. We all arrived at home in time for dinner, which we ate together just us three. I gave Tessie a new prayer book and hymnal for an anniversary gift and also for Easter. Sarah gave her a big round platter in blue glass. Alice and Harley gave her the cream jug and sugar bowl in the same glass and Violette gave us a table spoon in our silver. Tessie and Sally each gave me a necktie, both of them very beautiful. So we had a pleasant day all in all.
