Wednesday, April 23, 1930 Very cold. Thermometer down to 30° this morning. Went in to the office and took care of my mail and then drove to Springfield. Stopped in Westfield and called at the Bryon Hardware Co. Had lunch at the Park Square Hotel then went on over to the Springfield store. Later drove down to Hartford to the Oxford School and called for Sally and Betty Beele and brought them down home.
