Cold and raw. Worked till four o'clock then met Tessie at the station and we caught the 4-50 train for New York to attend the District Conference of the 29th District Rotary. We arrived at New York and went at once to the Hotel Commodore and registered. Rooms had been reserved for us and we hurriedly dressed and attended a dinner of the officers and guests of the conference. Ray Knoeppel was general chairman. Bob Stout, president of the New York Club, acted as host. After dinner, we all went to the theatre to see "Apron Strings". After the show, we gathered in room 2100 and had a little party.
