Sunday, April 27, 1930 A beautiful Sunday. Drove into Calvary to church. Mr. Richardson, superintendent, was away so I presided. Taught Mr. Lincoln's class and went to church. Sally had come into town and met a young Czechoslovakia girl, a student at Mount Holyoke, who was in New Haven attending a conference. We took her and Ed Cole out to dinner then hurried Ed back in town to catch a bus for Bridgeport. Sarah took the young girl later to the station and put her on a train for Holyoke. Tessie then took Sarah to Dr. Baldwins for a slight operation that is now quite painful.
