Wednesday, April 30, 1930 Another fine day. In to the store early. Harley went to Springfield on 6-45 train. I called him on the phone. Telegram that Mr. Murray Bacon of the Billings Chapin Co. had died. Left New Haven about four o'clock with T.P.H. and Mrs. Knapp, "Polly", for Holyoke and the Spring Conference. Sarah is at home. Andrina McIntyre will stay with her nights while we are gone. We went direct to the home of Don Mackintosh where we had dinner with Don and Mrs. Mackintosh, John and Mrs. Adie, president of the Holyoke club, and Don's secretary, Miss Burgess.
