Thursday, August 7, 1930 Not so hot today, air very clear. Thunder showers around tonight but none in Hamden. Tessie took Aletha Knapp Stone, Esther Bullard McKenzie, Betty Beele, Robb and Elizabeth Burgess up to Stockbridge to spend the day with Sarah. They had a wonderful time. Larry Stone came out and he and Aletha and Esther stayed all night with us. Heard today that Mr. Camp, our minister at Calvary Church, was going out to Oakland, Cal. to look over a church who had called him to its pastorate. Meeting tonight of the building committee of the new Spring Glen Club.
