Monday, August 11, 1930 Much cooler today. Someone around us has had showers but not a drop for New Haven. Mr. Chamberlain and I drove up to Meriden this noon to the funeral of Harry M. Chittenden, one of our customers. Mr. Chamberlain was one of the bearers. Came back to the store and finished up my desk work. Tessie called for me at 5-30 and we drove down to Norwalk, Conn. I met with the Norwalk Rotary Club and she went over to Alice Drew Lockwood's to call. District Governor Richard E.
