Monday, August 18, 1930 Beautiful day all day. Busy at the store on the top floor selecting Wall Paper for the new line. Harley came down from New Hampshire where he is spending his vacation for a few days to straighten out the Harry Chittenden store matter. He will go back Wednesday. The morning newspaper announced the resignation of the Rev. Elmore McKee as pastor of Yale University to accept a call to the Trinity Church of Buffalo, New York. New Haven people will hate to see him go. After dinner tonight, Tessie and I took a walk up to the new Spring Glen Club then stopped and called on Amy Warren. Frank C. Tuttle, one of our New Haven Grays of the State Guard Group dropped dead on Chapel Street today.
