Sunday, August 31, 1930 Ed Cole, Alice Crawford, Bud Wicks, Sally, and us had breakfast together her at "Glendean" then first off went Buddie in his Ford for New York then Tessie, Sally and I started off in the Packard for Stockbridge, Mass. leaving Ed and Alice ready to start in their Chevrolet for Pawtucket. We arrived in Stockbridge in about two hours and a half. Pretty good time to cover 85 miles in heavy traffic. we left Mother at Sally's house while Sally and I drove up to the Berkshire Playhouse to find Peter. He was mighty glad to see Sally.
