Very warm and lovely. Luncheon of the New Haven Rotary Club at Hotel Taft. William Lyon Phelps (Billy) was the speaker of the day. Past President George Bossett, in behalf of all the past presidents, presented to the club a new Rotary banner. This afternoon, Don Adams called for me and we drove over to Waterbury to the later city meeting of the Waterbury Rotary Club. Ray Knoeppel of New York was the speaker and he gave us all a wonderful message. He came home with Don and I and stopped at our house for a few minutes to speak to Tessie. The Citizens Bank of New Haven did not open for business this morning on order of the Bank Examiners. I am so sorry for my friend Clarence Dann, the president
