Saturday, December 13, 1930 Tessie and I got up early. She packed her bags. We ate breakfast and I took her in to the 9-05 train for Springfield to catch her Western train for Chicago and Sarah. She could hardly wait to go. It is very cold here. Hope it won't be worse out there. We had an all day store meeting on policy for next year. Got some supper downtown then came out home, fixed the fires, and went back in town to the Arena to a hockey game between Yale and the U. Club of Boston. Yale won 1 to 0. The Army and Navy played football in New York today for the unemployment fund. Army won 6 to 0.
