A bit warmer today but still quite cold. Attended executive committee meeting of Mayor Tully's Committee on the unemployment situation. The registration is about all done and we have listed about four thousand men needing work. We are doing what we can to find jobs for them. Went down to Calvary Church tonight to supper at a meeting of the Pulpit Supply Committee. We listened to a report of Mr. and Mrs. C.P. Walker., Mr. and Mrs. Hawley W. Lincoln, and Mrs. Dr. Camp, who went down to Raleigh, N.C. to interview Rev. McNeil Potiat. They did like him so much and hope he will come but we don't know. He wouldn't say yes or no. I dashed out for Violette and took to Battell Chapel to hear the Christmas carols sung
