In Chicago with Sally and Peter Barker. We slept late, had breakfast, then Peter's father and Richard came over and we all went in town with Peter. He went to the theatre and I went window shopping. Called on the Lloyd Chicago Establishment then I went over to Rotary International Headquarters. Found that everyone was on holiday for Christmas. Walked around some more then came out on the train to Sally. Sally and Mother had prepared a lovely dinner and invited to it Mr. and Mrs. Wilby also Margie, Mr. and Mrs. Barker, Glen and Richard, with us four making a family of eleven. Sally served beautifully and we had such a good time. Later while serving tea, she spilled some hot tea on her leg but it did not scald her badly. Tessie received telegram while here from her sister saying that her son Harry had died and one today from her brother saying his wife Etta had died.
