Saturday, December 27, 1930 In Chicago with Sally and Peter spending our Christmas with them. Went in town with T.P.H. and Sarah. Had lunch then went over to the Goodman Theatre and saw "Oliver Twist". It was so fine. We waited for Peter and he took us over to the Cabin Club for dinner. It was such a lovely, restful place. We walked from there back to the Goodman Theatre the performance of "Hay Fever". We met Harry and Jane Barker and Richard there. After the play, we all went in to Hyler's for soda then took the train for South Shore and home. We said goodbye to the Barkers as they start to drive to Iowa tomorrow morning.
