Up early in Chicago this morning at Sally's and Peter's. We had breakfast packed and took the "Wolverine" for home at 63rd St. at eleven A.M. We were so sorry to say goodbye to Sarah. We did enjoy being with her so much. We had lunch and dinner on the train and saw the old year out crossing New York State somewhere between Buffalo and Albany. Sarah and Peter whispered to us a secret that they were hopefully expecting a baby during the new year ahead. We pray for her comfort and her safety as well as for the little stranger. This endith the year of 1930. Much has happened. Father and Mother Peck have passed on, Sarah has married and established their home, and we are all alone. This has been a bad year for business but God has given us many blessings and we are hopeful for the future.
