Sunday, February 2, 1930 Beautiful day, quite warm. The sun thawed the ice and snow that covered the ground. This is "Ground Hog Day" and has he could easily see his shadow at noon, I suppose we are to have six weeks more of Winter. On the other hand, if he hadn't seen his shadow, we probably will have just the same amount of winter. Drove into Calvary Church, taught Charles Lincoln's class, then attended church. Dr. Catherine Mabie spoke at the church service on her experiences as a missionary in Africa. Father Peck, Tessie, and I had dinner at home then we all drove up to the cemetary to Mother Peck's grave. After I brought them home, I went down and visited with Violette and Clayton. They are cutting ice on Lake Whitney for the first time this Winter [Prev](1930_02_01.md) - [Next](1930_02_03.md) <img src="https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/d/1qQHQDHSgoCBwO8UlMSw3lnRsmm8KdTlv">
