Rain all day long. It washed away the last of the ice and snow that lay on the ground. Attended Rotary at New Haven today, Hotel Taft. Dinner and meeting tonight of the Executive Board of the New Haven Gray Veterans Association at Church-Wall Tea Room at the corner of Church and Wall Streets. The meeting was primarily to launch the campaign for funds to fit up the Grays Room at the new Armory, now being finished at New Haven on Goffe Street. I went back to the store and worked till 10-30. Then went down to the Shubert Theatre to meet Sarah and missed her in the crowd so came home on the trolly car. Tess with her usual thoughtfulness met me at the trolly with the Packard and brought me home through the downpour
