I think my cold is some better today. I stayed in bed till noon. Tess served my breakfast in bed. Got up later and shaved and dressed. Sally is home too with a hard cold and sore throat. We had dinner together. I worked on my Rotary Monthly letter for February. Truman Bertha and Ruth Beckley came to see us this afternoon and stayed to supper. Sally showed them the things in her hope chest. We had a nice visit with these old and dear friends. Violette and Clayton went to Calvary Church today, the first time since Ruth died. Lota Curtiss picture was in the New York Times picture section today. She is shown playing the chimes at Smith College. She is a sophomore this year.

(It was pretty easy to find Lota Curtiss' picture in the New York Times)
