Wednesday, February 12, 1930 A beautiful and perfect Winter day. Clear and cold. I had a bad time in the night with my cold and could not sleep so got up and came down stairs and sat by the fire in the Living Room till five A.M. Then I went back to bed and slept till seven o'clock. We then got up and Tessie took me in to Doctor Baldwin's, Chapel St. cor of Howe. She left me there and hurried back so that Sarah could have the car for Hartford and the Oxford school. Doctor gave me some medicine and I walked over to the office, had luncheon at Quinnipiack Club, then went on down town and bought some Valentines. Left the office early tonight about 5-30 and came home on the Waterbury trolley car. Betty Beele came down from Hartford with Sally and had dinner with us.
