Monday, February 17, 1930 Thermometer five degrees below zero this morning, the coldest of the Winter so far and jolly well cold it was too. I lit a fire in the dining room fire place for breakfast. This afternoon, T.P.H. and I went over to the Yale Drama School and the play played that Sarah directed. It was just fine. Dean Meeks was there to see it. I had dinner at the Taft with the Connecticut Paint Salesmans Club. I was the guest speaker. Afterwards, I again went up to the Yale Drama School to see a play in which Sally played the leading part.
