We closed the store all day but Harley and Miss Radcliffe and I worked till noon. I was working on our Wall Paper Bible. Came out home to dinner, then worked out doors shoveling crushed stone from the street gotten onto our driveway. The men from the Elm City Nursery came and pruned our big hicory tree. This is alumni day at Yale and the students of the Drama Department repeated "No More Frontier" for them. Sally was responsible for costumes. She brought Alice Crawford and Bert Gruver out to dinner with her. Ed Cole is to come later and they are going over to the Spring Glen Club to dance. President Angel announced today that one of the new house plan quadrangles would go on the plot on Elm Street between York and Park, where Curtiss and Pierpont Store and others now stand
