Thursday, February 27, 1930 In Boston at Hotel Statler. Had breakfast with Dick Dodge and Mrs. Dodge of Williamantic. His Rotary Club wants to present his name for nominee for District Governor. We had a long earnest talk about it. I think he would be a fine Governor. Took a taxi over to Geo D. Wetherills Boston store. Met Mr. Skeen there also Mr. Brassick, their Boston manager. We then went out to Cambridge to the retail store they are to operate there. It will be beautiful, done in lovely Spanish colors. Spent the whole day with them. Took the six o'clock train out of the South Station for home. Wired T.P.H. to meet me. Had my dinner on the train. Arrived New Haven ten o'clock.
