Friday, February 28, 1930 Back at the office this morning. Mrs. Wood had taken care of things nicely. Worked all day catching up on my Wallpaper detail. Met with the Executive Committee of New Haven Council Boys Scouts at five o'clock. Then back to the office and I worked till ten o'clock on Wall Paper records. Ex President and Chief Justice William Howard Taft is very low tonight. He is not expected to live the night through.
