Thursday, January 2, 1930 Came off warm a delightful. Went up and called on Mrs. Wood, my secretary, who has been at home ill since before Christmas. She asks for a month's leave of absence to go to Florida to get well. Meeting of the Committee of the New Haven Grays to plan for decorating and furnishing the Grays Quarters in the new Armory on Goffe Street, which will be ready by late Spring. We met in the Grays Room at the old Armory on Meadow Street and looked over and talked over plans with Dwight Smith, architect.
