Tuesday, January 14, 1930 Mother Peck grows weaker each day and the doctor sees no hope for her recovery. They are all making her as comfortable as possible. I made my official visit to the New Haven Club today. This is also my last visit to the Rotary Clubs of the 30th District. The members of my home club were very nice to me. I was proud to visit them as their District Governor. I worked at the office till eight o'clock. Then went out to Ted Crabb's house to a meeting of the special committee of the New Haven Grays, appointed to arrange for the raising funds to decorate the Grays Room in the new Armor on Goffe Street.
