Very cold this morning. Thermometer down to 7°. We had a fire in the dining room fireplace while we were eating breakfast. I drove in town to Calvary Church to church school and church service. I sat in with Mr. Charles T. Lincoln's class as I am to teach it for him for a few Sundays to give him a rest. Mr. Camp preached at church on "The acid test of a Christian". Ed Cole came out to dinner with and spent the afternoon. He and Sally took a hike and nearly froze. I spent the afternoon writing letters. We had supper around the Living Room fire. Then I took Ed back to town in the Packard. Thermometer down to five above zero tonight
