Tuesday, January 28, 1930 Cloudy but warmer all day. Attended Rotary Club meeting at the New Haven Club, Hotel Taft, this noon. Phil English was the speaker and he told us in a very charming way of his visit to Spain last Summer. He made it very interesting. I had dinner at Longley's tonight then worked at the office till 9-45. Caught the ten o'clock car for Spring Glen. Colonel Isaac M. Ullman died today of heart trouble. He has been a noted figure in New Haven for years as a political leader.
