Fourth of July all home together. Sally as well. She and Mother worked all day washing clothes and packing up wedding gifts to take to Stockbridge tomorrow. I worked out in the garden till the sun became too hot. We drove over to the Beeles tonight. Betty and Bill are home and Sarah wanted to see them and their gifts. They took Franklin Clark to the hospital today for an appendicitis operation. Poor chap. He and Lois certainly have had a run of tough luck
