Monday, July 21, 1930 Arose early, packed my bag and Tessie took me to the station and I left for New York and the Wall Paper Convention. Fearfully hot, the hottest day in New York in 56 years, official record 99° but many thermometers on the street registered from 104 to 110°. I sat in the meeting of the National Wall Paper Wholesalers Ass'n from 10 A.M. to 5-30 P.M. We just sweat right through our clothes. Came up to the room and hopped into the bath tub and stayed there for some time. Attended the banquet this evening then took a ride on a 5th Avenue bus way up town and back getting back at 12-30. This Hotel (Commodore) is like an oven. Did not sleep much [Prev](1930_07_20.md) - [Next](1930_07_22.md) <img src="https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/d/1xvKfvgV-PUc1Gk3cY5r2rwgybjx8DUVy">
