Saturday, July 26, 1930 At home at Spring Glen and glad to be here. Went in to the store this morning and worked till one o'clock when we closed. It is mighty hot again, too hot to work out of doors. Auntie B. called up from Bridgeport and told us that Russell Bill was there with Jane, his sweetheart. So we drove down to meet her. She is a very fine-appearing young lady. We came up home via Shelton, Derby, home. Harley was all in today.
