Thursday, July 31, 1930 A beautiful day, clear. Sun very warm but no humidity. Left store at 10-30 and drove to Springfield store. Had lunch at Hotel Kimball with Paul Kieser. On way home, stopped at Bryan Hardware Co. and arranged advertising matter for their show at Blanford Fair. Came home in time for dinner and attended a board meeting at the Spring Glen Club. We are planning the grand opening of the new club for September 13th.
