Very much warmer today. In fact a real hot wave. Attended Rotary luncheon at Hotel Taft today. Prof. Winslow of Yale was the speaker. He spoke on Public Health. I met Sally down at Mrs. Roots Food Shop on Church St. near Elm and we arranged with them to cater for the wedding. I left the store early and came home, finished spading the garden for the dahlias, picked up the stones and carried out the dahlia bulbs, ready for planting. After dinner, I painted mother's cabinet in the hall. Mary Webb and Linda Nettleton came over to see Sally's things
