Very hot today. Thermometer rose to 93°. Good breeze though. Peter arrived from Chicago this morning so everyone is happy. Luncheon meeting this noon of the committee to arrange for the 14th Anniversary of Border Group of the Grays. We met at Fitzsimmons Cafe on Gregson Street. I left the store early and came home and planted dahlia bulbs. When it got dark, I painted cabinets in the hall. Sally had many more fine gifts today including a $20.00 gold piece from Mrs. Runnells, Nat Noble's mother
