The "Day of Days" for Sarah and "Peter" and although it was very cloudy this morning, the sun broke through before noon and made our hearts sing with joy and happiness. I went down to the bank to arrange for a transfer of $1000.00 from Father Peck's money to Sarah as his gift to her. Sarah and "Tiny" and I rode to the church together and no bride ever before looked so lovely. She was "gorgeous". Every detail at the church was perfectly timed, the musical program beautiful, and the service the most impressive I have ever attended. Dorothy Ladd and Mrs. Wood sang. Esther Faile played the violin. The little chapel looked lovely. The flowers all green and white. The reception was at the Spring Glen Club and many friends came who could not be asked to the church. The gifts were arranged in the library at the house. Sally and Peter drove away in our Packard for a honeymoon at Camp Arden, a lovely place made possible through the kindness of Aunt Katherine.
