Thursday, June 19, 1930 I spoke this noon at the Quota Club, meeting at Hotel Taft Room 117. The Quota Club is a Ladies Service Club. I enjoyed myself very much. I talked about Rotary of course stressing its growth, area administration, and our six objects. Tonight, I drove down to Savin Rock to an Executive Board meeting of the New Haven County Council Boys Scouts of America. We had a nice dinner together and conferred till 10-30 P.M. John Clyne rode home with me. Calvary Baptist Church held a dinner tonight and ended a campaign of raising $14,000.00 cash to free the church from debt.
