Friday, June 20, 1930 Worked at the store all day long getting my work in shape to leave Sunday for Chicago and the Rotary convention. Came home and dressed for Betty Beele's wedding. Larry and Aletha Stone called for us and took us over in their new Ford car. It was a mighty pretty little home wedding. mr. Camp of Calvary married them. Betty looked very sweet. Tessie called on Mrs. Chamberlain on the way home. The Stones came in and listened on the radio to Commander Byrd speak in Washington D.C. after receiving the medal from Prest Hoover. He has just returned from the Antarctic Polar Expedition. Yale won the varsity boat race from Harvard at New London.
