Friday, March 7, 1930 Beautiful morning, increasing cloudiness all day. Rain at night. Sally and Peter took T.P.H. and I in to the station and we took the 9 o'clock train for New York. Went directly to the Grand Central Palace at 46th St and Lexington Avenue to look over the antiques and interior decorators show. We looked over the exhibitions till about 2-30 then came out and walked through 46th Street to Alice Foote McDougalls Coffee Shop for luncheon. Afterwards we went window shopping down Fifth Avenue. Also went into Franklin Simons Lord + Taylors and Altmans looking at wedding gowns for Sally. Came up home on the six o'clock train. Mr. and Mrs. Hauff, Well MacMaster, and Jack English were on the train.
