Another fine day, still cold but clear and bracing. Sally took me in to Calvary Church School. Prof. John Clark Archer of the Yale Divinity School, who is the author of the lesson course we are taking up, visited Mr. Charles Lincoln's class today (I am teaching it temporarily). He was so fine and had such a fund of information on his subjects. T.P.H. and Sarah went into St. Paul's Church and called for me after church. We brought Grant and Helen Noble out to dinner with us. I took Grant in for an afternoon appointment and then called on Violette. She has a bad throat. She and Clayton were at church today. we all had tea around the Living Room fire then T.P.H. and Sally took Helen home
