Monday, March 24, 1930 Got up and out this morning, much against the wishes of my first wife, who would have wisely kept me in the house for another day or two. I felt I must get down to the office so Tess took me in town. I felt pretty weak, found things in pretty good shape, worked all day, and attended the twentieth annual meeting of the New Haven Paint and Oil Club at the Hotel Taft. We had a good dinner and a good meeting.
