Wednesday, May 7, 1930
Left home at 8 o'clock. Took Sarah to Hartford for her day at the Oxford School, then I drove on to Springfield store. Went with Mr. Page to Northampton to call on J. Hugh Pierce and on Arthur. Drove back to Springfield and got my own car and drove back to Hartford, picked up Sally and Betty Beele, and came on home. We had dinner at home then I went over to Mr. Wright's to a committee meeting of the Spring Glen Church. It has been fearfully hot all day long. Thermometer 93-5% which is one degree warmer than any day last Summer. We had a terrific thunder shower tonight which changed the air a bit
