Hard rain all night long. So very welcome as the Earth was so dry. In Worcester this morning attending the Spring Conference of 31st Rotary District. After breakfast, took a train for Springfield and spent the day at the store. Had lunch at Hotel Kimball with Harry Fitch and Clarence Page. Came down home on train. Tessie and Sally met me at the station and brought down my overcoat. It had turned so cold. When I arrived at home, found that T.P.H. had started the furnace fire again. We had dinner at home and I spent the evening working on my Rotary monthly letter for May and listening to my radio
