Friday, May 23, 1930 Very hot today, thermometer shot up suddenly to 95°, the hottest May day in many years. From 95° degrees at 5 P.M., it dropped 30° by 9 o'clock. Drove to Springfield. Arrived there too late to have lunch with the Springfield Rotary Club but went over at the end of the meeting and had a conference with Paul Keiser and Russ Ragan. Drove down home, had dinner with Tess, and then went in town to Dorscht Hall to the annual meeting of the New Haven Grays Assn. We had a good meeting, a good sing, and good eats. Sarah went to New York with "Tiny" Shoeffler to select material for her wedding dress and for Aletha's and Mary Ellen's dress [Prev](1930_05_22.md) - [Next](1930_05_24.md) <img src="https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/d/1Zjg9djfvj_hxOUudNVwEBPvyr99xD3Eh">
